Call to schedule a visit to our farm. I am proud of my bees and the natural honey produced.

HONEY

All-natural: no additives  and the bees are managed without chemicals or antibiotics. We are naturally grown.

Raw: all we do is run the honey through a screen strainer. No heat added. This is full-flavored honey as nature intended.

Honey: one of nature's sweetest delights; honey bees gather flower nectar in excess and process it into honey. Quality honey invokes flavored hints and aromas of the nectar's floral sources. Yum!

Corsicana’s premier bee and honey distributor.

Ron Morrison, a Corsicana native, career firefighter and bee keeper became a backyard bee keeper in 2010 and started selling bees commercially in 2016. He specializes in raising and selling only Don the Fat Bee Man’s stock. The Fat Bee Man’s bees are known the world over for gentleness, good laying queens and good honey producers.(https://fatbeeman.com/) Currently he is raising and selling deep five frame nucs.  Packages will be available in the spring of 2022. Ron is one of three people in the state of Texas that are allowed to sell the Fat Bee Man’s stock. For a list of Don’s keepers visit Dixie Bee Supply.com.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING YOUR BEES

This particularly applies to first time and newer beekeepers.   There are some misconceptions and worries that customers have about buying packages in regards to the fear of a package will fly away. One myth is that you have to have frames of drawn comb for a package to stay.  While frames of comb would certainly be beneficial,  it is not necessary. I have installed hundreds and hundreds of packages in boxes with nothing but new frames with wax foundation or wax coated plastic foundation. You have to feed your bees to provide the resources to draw comb. On rare occasions a package will fly away. My opinion is that a queen was mistakenly shaken into the package and the packaged bees accepted her as their queen and not the provided caged queen inside the package cage. To prevent this, a queen excluder can be placed on top of the bottom board, then put the hive body on top of that. Then you shake your packaged bees in your box only the workers will be able to go in and out of the hive.  After a week remove the excluder. I hope this helps with your decision making. Watch some YouTube videos on installing bee packages so you can see the different ways to install packages.
